Important Considerations for Your Maritime Journey:
Transportation between the four inhabited islands (Santa Cruz, San Cristóbal, Floreana, and Isabela) is primarily carried out via passenger speedboats, with capacities ranging from 36 to 54 passengers.
These boats depart daily from the main dock of each inhabited port, with the exception of the Floreana route, which operates only on specific days.
The average travel time by boat ranges between 2 to 3 hours, depending on sea conditions. It’s important to note that during the first half of the year (January to June), the sea tends to be calmer, while in the second half (July to December), rougher waters are more common.
For certain routes, small inter-island planes are available as a daily alternative.

Important Considerations for Your Inter-Island Flight:
Transportation between the three main inhabited islands with airstrips—Baltra, Isabela, and San Cristóbal—is carried out using small aircraft, offering a fast, scenic, and reliable alternative to sea travel.
Each flight is operated with light planes that typically accommodate 8 to 9 passengers. Please make sure to arrive at the airport at least 1 hour before your scheduled departure time to ensure a smooth boarding process.
You are allowed to travel with one suitcase of up to 25 pounds. If your baggage exceeds this limit, don’t worry—we’ll take care of it and help manage the extra weight accordingly.
Flying between these islands is the quickest and most comfortable way to connect across the Galápagos, allowing you to make the most of your time in this extraordinary archipelago.
Important Note for the Floreana Island Route:
The route from Santa Cruz to Floreana is subject to availability and requires a minimum of 10 participants for daily tours, in addition to travelers using the ferry service. Please note that there is no morning ferry service from Floreana and no afternoon ferry service from Santa Cruz to Floreana.
Due to the island’s low population density and limited hotel and restaurant options, careful and advanced planning is strongly recommended to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience at this unique destination.
